#TheStoryInMyHead
We were the normal kids,
wanting nothing more than Mom and Dad's support,
But what did we get for failing in the last maths test?
Yeah, days and nights of irking talks.
I was the boy with much ambitions,
Grow up and be the best you can in life, it's your future
But No, this duo just wouldn't let me be,
They'd rather make my life miserable with rules that are not made for me.
They'd say, YOU'RE A BORN LAWYER,
but if I could I would've responded, YOU'RE A BLOODY LIAR,
Because I do not see myself, contemplating crossing the Ts and dotting the Is of another man's case,
No, I'd rather have myself in the wake of the night, painting the world's look on a canvas as a portrait.
Steve told us,
"We cannot solve problems with the same minds we used in creating them",
I now seems like our turn to elevate them,
We are ready to levitate from here,
but why'd you clip our wings under the guise of modern education?
Compelling us to live our lives under this forced jurisdictions?
We are tired of spending life in a jail,
Forced upon us by our ignorant parents,
Who still wish they knew best,
But deep down, they know less.
Blame them, if we ever cut this rope,
We are already on the stool,
about to let all hell break lose,
For we may someday get tired of living a life that is NOT OUR OWN.
Afterthoughts: Parents are the basic advisors of their wards, they need to learn the difference between being opinionated and being mandatory over issues that affects their children's future.
If your child doesn't want to do something or take a career path as opposed to what you intend for them, DON'T force him or her to do it, it leads to emotional distortion, and besides, IT'S THEIR LIVES; NOT YOURS.
