When you see your neighbor’s step-daughter getting treated as rags
When you are able to help an hungry man but will rather save up the little change you’ve got left, to purchase snacks?
when you see two people fighting but would rather get a phone to record the occurence than help out?
Are you not as well guilty?
Guilty of the fact that you could help but chose not to?
Guilty of the crime that you were there but decided to pretend like you were not because you were thinking WHAT WOULD BE THE CONSEQUENCE EVEN IF I DO HELP?
Guilty of the fact that a little advice from your mouth could’ve saved their dying marriage?
Will you rather watch live when you could help with just a touch?
Won’t you pass on the torch,
Of humanity in you?
To the fellow by your side, who cares if you both know?
The victim sees no difference between
Its assailant nor the spectators
So far you were there, and could’ve helped
But didn’t, you committed a huge offence
Against you, yourself and them
THE OFFENSE OF INHUMANITY
Don’t live being guilty
When you put yourself in the cell
Of regrets knowing you could’ve helped
But chose not too,
There is still someone out there, crying
Needing a friend
Or anyone to come closer,
Talk with and hug her
You could be that one
Help one, save one.
