After the (PEBEC) stakeholder's engagement with the Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi on Monday, I was caught In a conversation  with a new purpose driven personality who is passionate and intentional about living.

The conversation was tagged gisting, and a question was posed to me while conversing that, "Flourish, what would you love to change if you have opportunity to change some things in your past"?

Humm, was I caught unaware? Absolutely No!

Immediately, I thought of the question and came up with only two things that really matters in life which are; some of the people I have moved with in the time past and myself.

"How does this matters"? He asked.

Me: "As a matter of fact, the average of who we're today is the product of people we moved with in the time past. And people that have influenced us.

The attainable height of success any man could have attained is invariably traceable to the kind of people he has moved with and the kind of friends he has kept in his company.

Also, it all revolves in the kind of decisions and improvement he made upon himself in the time past. "A Master at something today is a product of a special improvement on that thing yesterday".

Dear reader, as this may appear true, it is never a reaaon to live in our past, but to know and figure factors that have made you who you're today. Whether good or bad.

"When our past cannot be undone, our present can always be improved upon towards a better tomorrow."

Most times as human, we tend think about the best is in our past that got messy.  But no!  The best is always right in us!

We become attached to the past so much that we fail to make any meaningful further progress in life.

But this is the truth, no one gets better by either the achievement or the failure of the past, but by the current capacity he is building to match up with the current challenges.

What happened in the past should stay with it. Whatever we can't change, should change your reasonability on how to advance in a better direction and not otherwise".

The best time to live is now! Your past is no more accessible. The only moment we have is now!

However, as it may appear cool to you to change some people in your past, then think of this, if other people have the opportunity to change some things in their past too, won't you be shortlisted first?

If you have opportunity of influence with great men, please stop doing gentle man, maximize the influence and redefine yourself. And don't stop influencing people positively!

The best time to live is now!

Shalom
