Tears of the past days
Forgotten by time,
Assumed by many
Fear to remember the past
But still she feels the pain

She went to school, yes
She did her primary level, yes
She passed, they say, yes
But she was a girl, not a child
And had to go, and bring cows

She tried to voice her sound,
To scream for help
To beg for a chance
A chance to schooling
A girl, how can anyone hear?

Now she is twenty
And a dozen of offsprings
With a drunk man
Empty plates on the table
Twenty four eyes looking at her
But no one dares to speak

Her memories linger six years back
A mere, bright, hardworking girl
A bright anticipated future
A good and rich husband
But all she got now,
A tear drop to wipe
