In my previous article, Yaba Silicon Valley: Makerspace, Hackerspace and Creatorspace where i talked about our vision to expand and contribute to the hardware community in Nigeria, how we intend to open up several makerspaces in Yaba so that people interested in making hardware products can rapidly build a prototype, they can also learn, collaborate and share with each other on projects that they are working on. The makerspace will also help to create a platform where makers can pitch their electronic ideas for funding.
Makers working together on a project
ByteHub Embedded launched Let’s Make and Code Hardware monthly meetup and makerspace where makers comes together to talk, share what they are working on, seek for collaborations, network and meet people, workshops, discuss on the latest embedded devices and showcase their projects on electronics, Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), 3D technology, IoT, robotics and automation systems.
Their mission is to partner with many hardware and software companies in Nigeria like Facebook NG and Google Africa in building and equipping more makerspaces where people come to make use of the facilities like 3D printers, PCB machines, Electronics components and tools, electronics kits, Modules and Sensors, embedded software and many more.
This maker movement in Nigeria is to bring thousands of people into hardware making and promoting local contents.
