Apple has unveiled a redesigned Control Center in iOS 18, now available in the Public Beta. While there wasn’t a big announcement for the flashlight upgrade, it’s here and ready for you to try.

Previously, you could adjust the flashlight brightness from zero to four. Now, iOS 18 offers even more control with a fun interface. You can adjust both the brightness and focus (angle) of the flashlight.

How It Works

- Brightness Control: Slide your finger up or down.
- Focus Control: Slide your finger left or right.
- Full Control: Long-press the flashlight icon on iPhones with Dynamic Island.

Using the flashlight feels like a game! It’s responsive and uses the True Tone Flash for better illumination. Whether you’re lighting up a dark room or setting up a photoshoot, you have precise control.

How to Try It

iOS 18 Public Beta is available from July 14, 2024. Keep in mind, as a beta, it may have bugs and affect battery life. But you’ll also get to enjoy other new features like the redesigned Photos app, new Safari reader, and iMessage text effects.

Want to impress your friends? Show off the new flashlight controls at your next gathering. Apple has made it both useful and fun!
