Julie Atta's involvement with the Annals is no surprise to those familiar with her work. The Annals of Ibadan Postgraduate Medicine, a prestigious peer-reviewed journal published bi-annually by the Association of Resident Doctors at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria, is a platform dedicated to the publication of first-class and widely cited articles in various specialties of medical sciences. The journal, which welcomes contributions from across the medical field, especially in developing countries, is committed to addressing multiple topics, including medical technology, and economic, social, and ethical issues related to medicine.

Julie Atta's role as a reviewer has been nothing short of impactful. Among the significant research papers she reviewed are studies on the design of the National Health Insurance Scheme of Nigeria and its implications for universal health coverage, the clinical profile and pattern of dementia in a geriatric center, and the mental health status and job performance during the COVID-19 pandemic among nurses in Ibadan. She also reviewed critical works on the patterns and presentation of major depressive disorder in pediatric surgical adolescents, the profile of young-onset dementia patients in Southwestern Nigeria, and the early impacts of fuel subsidy removal on the mental health of primary healthcare workers and community members in Nigeria.

Julie Atta is not alone in being recognized for her outstanding efforts.
